LIBRe

Our team is a dynamic and diverse group of experts from various disciplines, united under the umbrella of the Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon. Our mission is centered around understanding the distribution and ecological dynamics of species and their habitats, and taking action to conserve them. We not only conduct cutting-edge research, but also actively engage in fieldwork across the globe, immersing ourselves in the natural environments we study and collaborating with local stakeholders. From theoretical investigations to practical implementation, our team comprises researchers from different corners of the world, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to address global environmental challenges at various spatial and temporal scales. We are passionate about unraveling the mysteries of biodiversity and finding solutions for its preservation, working at the intersection of science, conservation, and community engagement. Our commitment extends beyond academic pursuits as we strive to make a tangible impact on the ground, actively contributing to the sustainable management and protection of ecosystems and their inhabitants.
